Stormhyttene on Lykling is an accommodation offer for you who want an experience unlike anything else. The view is 360 degrees. Here you get the most beautiful sunsets and the strongest autumn storms close to. Here the ocean dances like only the ocean can. You can lie down and watch the sea turtles circling over the area, or dream away as the magical starry sky reveals itself on fine nets. Nice or ugly weather, - it is definitely a strong experience to come so close to nature!

This is what the storm shelters are like
The round shape is based on the traditional igloo and gable shape that has been used by people in the Arctic for thousands of years. The shape means that strong gusts of wind have nowhere to catch, and the wind therefore slides over. The deck they stand on is anchored firmly into the mountain with storm-proof pillars.
The "Golden Eye cabins" are named after the gold mining town they are located in - and are called "GoldenEye North" and "GoldenEye South".
They are made of specially made, unbreakable glass and have insulated wooden floors. They are furnished with tasteful furnishings with the goal of giving you a luxurious feeling close to nature. There is of course a heat pump for heating on cold days and cooling on hot days.
Just outside you will find a toilet room with an incineration toilet and a pump sink. Inside the igloo you will find, among other things, a refrigerator, binoculars, a bed, chairs and Wi-Fi. Everything is in place for a good experience. But you have to create the good atmosphere yourself!
Our vision
Our vision is to play in harmony with nature, history, and our identity at Bømlo. We will be innovative, but still have a sustainable development with respect for nature, terrain, and history. With these elements, we will give our guests good and unique experiences!
